At owayo we believe that we have a responsibility to protect our natural resources for future generations, and from the beginning we’ve sought to lead by example. As an environmentally friendly company, we are constantly looking for ways to improve the sustainability of our systems and processes. Here are some examples of what we’ve done to decrease our carbon footprint.

Only on Demand

Unused products pose one of the biggest hazards to our environment. Many companies produce more than required in order to meet the perceived demand. We only manufacture products upon customer request - this guarantees that nothing that we produce goes unused.

Oeko-Tex

A small label – with a big meaning: The independent Oeko-Tex (Öko, German for Eco) label dictates the origin for all fabrics used within a product. We exclusively use fabrics that have been marked with this label, to ensure our products are as eco friendly as possible.

Energy Efficiency

All of our facilities are equipped with thermal insulation and a high-end ambient lighting system that are extremely energy efficient. This is not only important for achieving consistent results when printing, but also helps reduce our carbon footprint.

Reduction of Excess Waste

Throwing out extra, unused material is something we strive to avoid. That is why we’ve designed a thorough system to make the most out of each and every role of fabric and to reduce waste to an absolute minimum.

Recycle Partnerships

As production scrap cannot be avoided completely, even at the most efficient production facilities, we have contracted certified businesses to help us recycle the right way. All reusable and recyclable materials are recovered in their appropriate substance cycles – it’s a conscious choice on behalf of our environment.
